European Week for Safety and Health at Work

european-week-for-safety-and-health-at-work-healthy-workplaces-campaign-montage-of-images Every year, in October, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work coordinates a week of activities to highlight the Healthy Workplaces campaign. This year’s events take place during the week of 21–25 October 2013. There are many awareness raising events organised across the whole of the EU including conferences, exhibitions, training sessions and other activities.

The European Week for Safety and Health at Work raises awareness of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign, which is currently focussing on ‘Working together for risk prevention’. The themes are OSH leadership and worker participation in heath and safety and how these elements are necessary to build safer and healthier workplaces. Safe and healthy workplaces are also more productive workplaces and the Healthy Workplaces Campaign is EU-OSHA’s main activity for raising awareness and promoting safety and health at work.
