“Enthusiasm” and “progress” were the key words expressed at the latest meeting of the Professional Clothing Show’s Steering Committee. Members were wholly supportive of the new format and venue, and discussed a number of topics that could be covered at the event that would be of interest to visitors. Ethical trading, innovation, recycling and technology were just a few of the many topics suggested by steering committee member Louise Johnson (Retail Corporate Manager at RBS) who reported her feedback from conversations she has had with a number of industry buyers. Louise’s feedback was invaluable for the organisers who are working hard towards the best possible event with the best possible content.
John Miln of UKFT was invited to explain the role of UKFT in the industry and how it is helping to market the show and awards. As the umbrella organisation covering fashion and textiles, UKFT’s support will help widen interest in the show.
