Occupational Therapists (OT) provide invaluable assistance to their clients by helping them live functional, comfortable lives. OTs assess the physical limitations of their clients, some of whom may have a disability, or who are recovering from an illness or a condition. Their job is to provide therapy and solutions to allow a person to go back to their daily tasks at home or work.

Occupational Therapists are employed across several industries including health care and social assistance; public administration and health & safety; education and training; and financial and insurance services.

As an OT, you will help those affected by illness, injury, accidents or ageing to resume everyday activities such as work, recreation and domestic tasks. You might work with a variety of clients, assisting with routine exercises, supporting recreational activities and providing general care.

When you successfully finish this course, you’ll be ready to begin work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. A Structured Workplace Learning component within the industry will ensure that you’re ready to begin a career with real life experience. Do this course flexibly and in your own time, starting on any day of the year.

At the successful completion of your studies, you’ll be awarded a nationally accredited qualification as well as a recognised pathway to highly valued work or more advanced studies.
