On the 12th and 13th of May, PPE had the pleasure of attending the European launch of the TEGERA® Infinity™ hand protection range by Ejendals AB. The event in Milan was a fantastic opportunity to find out more about Ejendals AB and experience this top range of gloves with exceptional grip, comfort and protection.
Launch Presentations and Training
Ejendals AB is certainly an organisation that is successful, providing safety solutions to a wide range of industrial sectors, but it was the powerful delivery of the vision of the company, presented with passion by Jessica Arkinger, Head of Marketing at Ejendals AB, that really got the session going.
It’s an admirable vision: “To create a safer day with zero damages to hands and feet, to the benefit of individuals, companies and society.”
Göran Ström, product manager at Ejendals AB, continued the session with a review of the PPE Regulation and the attributes of the new glove range. He talked about the “Infinity feel”, which is a good way to describe the touch-sensitivity of the products. An assured and knowledgeable presentation was enjoyed by all.
“Imagine a safety glove so snug, comfortable and sensitive it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a glove at all.” The ambition was to create a new glove collection that would enhance precision handling and comfort as well as adding to workplace productivity and safety. Ejendals AB have certainly managed that with the TEGERA® Infinity™ range, as you’ll see later in this report.
The gloves are based on exclusive new materials, design and manufacturing technologies. Visit TegeraInfinity.com to view the full range.
The gloves are available in seven models, including two extremely touch-sensitive versions, three styles designed for situations where good grip is required and three cut-resistant styles. They are perfect for workers in automotive, construction and MRO environments.
TEGERA® Infinity™ hand protection products are made using extra-soft and protective fibres, providing hand protection with fingertip precision, grip, softness and dexterity. They are are dipped in a blend of nitrile and water-based polyurethane (PU), providing superb protection, flexibility and fit.
Dick Jönsson Wigroth then introduced us to WestCoast Racing, or Team Infinity as we like to call them! WestCoast Racing was established in 1994 by Dick, and it is one of Sweden’s most successful racing teams.
At Monza: The Temple of Speed
We just had to stay in Italy to support the WestCoast Racing team at The Temple of Speed, Monza. The TCR International Series is an international Touring Car championship, and we were there to see a round of racing for the championship and cheer on Team Infinity!
Alas, a victory did not materialise at Monza this time, but the future looks bright for this amazing team. The drivers, mechanics and managers are all super ambassadors for the team, and we were fortunate to have a chance to talk to each person involved.
Team driver Gianni Morbidelli told PPE that as a team, WestCoast Racing “…was unlucky in the championship last season, but the performance this season has not been as good. This team is a good team, and we recognise where we need to improve to be able to compete at the top again.”
Team driver Giacomo Altoè told PPE that the mechanics find TEGERA® Infinity™ gloves technically superior and that “…this helps them work more efficiently on the car.”
Nicolas, the team’s garage technician, or truckie, who looks after tyre pressures, tyre fitting and work on other materials around the car said “Oils and other slippery materials on wheels and parts means that we need the gloves we use to have good grip. Tegera gloves have very good grip and also they hardly wear at all.”
This was a truly stunning launch event, packed with dazzling presentations, fantastic products and wonderful hospitality. All of the guests were impressed by the professionalism of all involved with the event, and the quality of the presentations and products.
The link between the products and racing was not lost on us: This hand protection range will be a winner, and will provide a top class alternative range in the PPE market for tactile, grip and cut-resistant gloves in many workplace environments.
As we’ve said already on the social web: If TEGERA® Infinity™ gloves are good enough for the mechanics at WestCoast Racing, they’re good enough for us!
Thank you Ejendals AB for brilliant launch event. Thanks also to Giusy, Camilla and Luca from GB Network for their help and hospitality.
